WORKSHOPS
Wabash Woollen Works offers workshops to let you discover the whole process, from raw fiber and growing plant to beautiful pieces made from luxurious, naturally dyed yarn. Read more about each workshop below. Workshops are scheduled based on interest, so fill out the form to express interest in a workshop, suggest a new workshop you'd be interested in attending, or inquire about having your group attend a workshop.

HERBAL TEA WORKSHOP

NATURAL DYE WORKSHOP
Minimum of 8 people
This 5-hour workshop begins at Wabash Woollen Works, where you'll learn about the wide variety of dye plants in our region and the colors they provide.
You will learn about mordants and how to prepare the yarns to receive the dye.
You will tour the lovely garden beds adjacent to the building where you will decide which plants you want to use for your dye workshop. Then you will cook down the plants you've chosen and learn the process of dyeing yarn.
You will use your dye-day experience for many years to come.

SOCK KNITTING WORKSHOP

Knit your own cozy pair of socks. Learn to turn the heal and how to knit instep gusset decreases. Basic materials are included.

ACID DYE WORKSHOP
